A whole country crying out for peace

Today, the streets of all the main cities in Colombia were crowded with people asking for the freedom of all the hostages held by the rebel forces and for the bodies of the 11 assassinated deputies killed on June 18. The marches have been enormous; thousands of civilians, the President, the ministers, the mayors of Cali, Bogotá, Medellín and other cities, and even the singer Juanes have all been out on the streets crying out for peace in this country, for unconditional liberty for all the hostages held by the FARC. Let's hope that, for once, these terrorists listen and understand that all they are really doing is damaging this country.

Today, the whole country is crying out together: "We want freedom. We want peace."
